Newly Certified Strain Gauge Course

ESTEQ is excited to announce that our strain gauge course is now a certified level 1 and 2 course with The Association of German Engineers VDI/VDE/GESA guideline 2636. The course will be extended to four days including further practical sessions and 2 exams. All exams are open book and test the knowledge gained during the course.

Level 1, Basics of Strain Gauge Installation and Strain Gauge Measurement

Level 1, Basics of Strain Gauge Installation and Strain Gauge Measurement will cover an introduction to stress and strain and basic operating principles of strain gauges.

3 practical sessions will afford the opportunity to bond a strain gauges using a rapid adhesive (Z70) with a silicone covering (SG250), two component adhesive (X60) with an AK22 and ABM75 covering and a hot curing adhesive EP150.

Level 2, Strain Gauge Measurement in Experimental Stress Analysis and Manufacturing of Transducers

Level 2, Strain Gauge Measurement in Experimental Stress Analysis and Manufacturing of Transducers will look at the operation of the Wheatstone bridge circuit, planning and logging a strain gauge installation, strain based transducer, and strain gauge selection.
